Clover - In Maine!'s Story...
My name is Clover. I am a spayed, female Beagle mix, about 2 1/2 years old, that came to Tall Tails Beagle Rescue from the Bridgeton area of Maine. I am sometimes shy at first with strangers (especially those of the male persuasion), but I warm up quickly and am an affectionate girl.

I am currently in a foster home in Cumberland, Maine and coming out of my shell nicely! I am meeting lots of new people and having a great time with my foster family. I am very bonded to the teenage boy in my foster family - he has really helped me come out of my shell.

I enjoy playing with other dogs! I would love to have another canine companion in my new home to keep me company.

I will make the right family a wonderful companion. Please give me a loving home

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Clover - In Maine!, a Freeport Beagle/Redbone Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Redbone Coonhound for sale in Freeport, or seeking a Beagle/Redbone Coonhound dog from a breeder in Freeport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Freeport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Freeport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Redbone Coonhound breeders who help with Beagle/Redbone Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Freeport paves the way for another one to be saved.
