My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Prancess came to us in November of 2010, and was spayed shortly after. She developed a fungal infection on her temple and was held for 6 weeks in isolation for treatment, and for us to assure it was cured. She was FeLV/FIV tested and joined the community house in February, where she fit in famously.

Prance is an extremely loving, and attentive little lady built like a small butterball turkey. She is "pleasantly plump" with a very small head and feet. Her little body must be so round to accomodate her beautiful big, and loving heart, because I hae rarely encountered such a giving and loving nature, since Cindalee who left us for her new family last year.

Prancess loves lap sitting, feather toys, and the laser light. She will lick and pull your hair if you ignore her. She has a huge fettish for canned food, tolerates other cats, if they are not in her face, and would likely be a constant companion during late sleepins on weekends.

Her one fault, if you can call it that, is that she will plop down, and lie on the floor right next to, or underfioot. If I had a dollar for every time she got her tail of foot stepped on... But this would definitly make her a bad choice for anyone with mobility issues, which is sad because she would otherwise be a wonderful companion for an older person. It is hard to say if she would show different behavior in a home, their world consists of one room, so with other places to explore, maybe she wouldnt feel the need to be right there. I cant say for sure.

She would be good with kids, if they were gentle, and caring with her. She is not a fraidy cat at all, but her feelings get hurt if one of the larger cats picks on her, or if I am in a hurry and dont pay attention to her when she is trying to get her turn being petted or cuddled. You can actually see the "hrumph, well OK" on her adorable little face. She is a very special girl, and I will only pair her with a home and family I feel is right for her. She is just a gentle little soul, and has a very in depth personality, which will require a true cat lover to keep her feeling loved and valued, that is the only way she will be truly happy.

We focus on placing our cats and kittens in caring, responsible INDOOR ONLY homes. Potential adoptors should email us for an adoption application, and tell us a little about the life you can offer one of these wonderful felines. You will also need to supply the name and phone number of your veterinarian. Once verified, we will be happy to arrange a visit for you!

Adoption fee for Prancess is $125.00 which includes the cost of FeLv/FiV testing, spay surgery, microchip, worming and vaccinations, including rabies. A $25.00 TRAVEL CREDIT IS AVAILABLE for those traveling more than 60 miles to adopt one of our precious felines.

This is an incredible deal, and an over $250 value.
