Bear's Story...
Bear was named because he is big cuddly teddy bear! He has a love for life and a passion for relaxation. He is very well mannered in a house and amazing on a leash. Bear came into the shelter with a little doggie pal which was adopted out right away. Bear is looking for a home with family! He wants to be loved and cuddled and mushed! He is very mellow and just wants to be a loyal companion. He greatly enjoys going on hikes. Bear would be great as both an adventure dog who goes on camping trips or a backyard dog with a nice bbq going! He is just the best boy ever!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bear, a Manhasset Newfoundland dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Newfoundland for sale in Manhasset, or seeking a Newfoundland dog from a breeder in Manhasset.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Manhasset already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Manhasset breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Newfoundland breeders who help with Newfoundland rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Manhasset paves the way for another one to be saved.
