Gretchen's Story...
Gretchen is a very sweet, petite girl with a ton of personality. She is a VERY special girl as she has been in a New Orleans shelter since September 11th! :( Dogs never last longer than a few weeks without being put to sleep, so somebody down there saw something really special in Gretchen. After 6 months though, they have to make room for other dogs coming in, and she was scheduled to be PTS.
A friend of LVLR went and pulled her and is flying her here Saturday 2/2 and we will have more information after then.

Stay tuned for more pictures and updates!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gretchen, a Las Vegas Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Las Vegas, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Las Vegas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Las Vegas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Las Vegas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Las Vegas paves the way for another one to be saved.
