Scottie is a male Silky Terrier that is approximately 9 years old. He weighs 7.2 pounds and he's neutered, up to date on vaccines, micro chipped and has had a dental. He is fine with other pets, but can be a little food aggressive if they come too close when he is eating his meals and or treats. Gentle corrections from you will show him this is not acceptable behavior.
Scottie loves to follow you all over the house, and loves to cuddle up on your lap or right beside you while sitting on the couch watching tv, and to sleep in your bed with under the covers snuggled into you. He is housetrained, but has some separation anxiety and may bark and leave PP puddles on the floor when left alone. He relishes his meals & small soft treats that he can chew with the few teeth he has left, and loves to play with small soft toys and will bring the toy to you for you to play fetch.
Scottie is hypo-allergenic and will need periodic grooming to keep his coat smooth and tangle-free. He’s very good when his foster Mommie washes his face after meals, bathes and brushes him. As it has been too cold to go for walks outside, we’re not really sure how he is on a leash to go for walks.
He has diminished vision and his hearing is not as good as it was but this does not seem to affect him too much. He will bark when he first goes outside but with gentle verbal correction he does stop.
Scottie is a sweet little guy and once he gets to know you he’ll be your little shadow. His ideal home would be with a retired senior who would enjoy sharing their home with this lovable little fellow.
