My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lucy is such a sweet little Pekingese! We received Lucy (along with Callie) from a breeder that agreed to surrender these sweeties to us. They did not have a great life - when we rescued them both were covered in dirt, had matted hair, bad teeth, fleas and are heartworm +.

But to look at them, you'd never know it now! Both were groomed and are not current on their vaccinations. Both will be spayed before the end of August and will begin their heartworm treatment soon after.

Little Lucy is tiny, weighing a few ounces under 10 lbs and is believed to be 6 years old. Her coat is a beautiful red and while shaved now, will grow in beautifully. She is spirited and loves to play with all of the dogs. She is smart, she knows her name now (or perhaps it is simply my bad impression of Dessie Arnez calling for her) and she learned how to use the dog door immediately. She hasn't had any accidents and really enjoys running in and out the dog door. So cute since she's only a couple of inches from the ground.

Lucy's adoption fee is $150.00. This will go towards her medical expenses. I hope you'll consider Lucy for your family. She is sweet girl that deserves an opportunity to have a home full of love.
