My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*******IMPORTANT****** IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ONE OF OUR DOGS PLEASE VISIT OUR WEBSITE AND FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION. AFTER WE HAVE AN APPLICATION ON FILE WE WILL COMMUNICATE SPECIFICS ABOUT THAT PARTICULAR DOG. WE ARE A SMALL RESCUE, OVERWHELMED BY THE NUMBER OF DOGS WE HAVE IN OUR FOSTER PROGRAM AND ARE UNABLE TO ANSWER OR CALL UNTIL WE HAVE AN ADOPTION APPLICATION.
Ariel is an 18 month old female English Bulldog who was surrendered by her owners when she wouldn't cooperate with their "breeding plan". She was apparently part of a amateur breeding operation and when she wouldn't allow herself to be bred, they took her to a HIGH KILL shelter. These people are heartless. But it turned out to be the best thing that could have ever happened to Ariel....she will NEVER, EVER have to live in squalor, neglected or abused in the future. Thankfully, a volunteer at the shelter took it upon herself to find a safe place for Ariel. After making multiple calls to "rescue" friends, she hit paydirt and was given our information.
Just prior to being taken to the shelter Ariel had some type of procedure on her eye.
Ariel has a terrible eye infection, ear infections and is overweight. She will require daily eye drops to treat a condition called dry eye, for the rest of her life.
She is UTD on shots and heartworm negative. She will be spayed as soon as the eye and ear infections are undercontrol, but will be spayed prior to adoption.
Ariel loves her humans but doesn't particularly enjoy other dogs, can you blame her?
Update: Ariel is a little impatient with small children. She would be best in a home with children over 10 and familiar with dogs.
