About Our Shelter...
Country Cats, Inc. is a no-kill cat adoption and rescue. A state-licensed non-profit organization, we are run by dedicated volunteers and are funded by adoption fees and private donations.

Our mission:
--- to prevent abandonment and abuse of cats,
--- to reduce the number of unwanted cats/kittens through
spaying/neutering,
--- to adopt our cats/kittens to responsible owners,
--- to promote public awareness of responsible cat care, especially the need for spaying/neutering.

Our Adoption Process...
Our cats are for no charge and our kittens (up to one year old) are just $75. This includes the spay/neuter, all vaccinations and parasite treatments. We adopt to 'approved' homes only.

We require that everyone be 'pre-approved' before viewing any of the cats/kittens, which is a simple, quick process. Our shelter is a private home, and some of the cats on our website are owned by private individuals. We find that this process actually saves everyone time and money.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Little Bit, a Andover Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Andover, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Andover.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Andover already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Andover breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Andover paves the way for another one to be saved.
