Hazel's Story...
Hazel is a 1yr old lab mix at only 30 lbs. She is friendly and energetic and loves to play with the other dogs on the farm. Hazel LOVES to swim and run and get her crazies out but will then settle down. She showed up as a stray and is living as an outdoor dog. She would really like to come inside to a home of her own. She has a little white star in the center of her forehead, her paws are white and so is the tip of her tail!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hazel, a Portsmouth Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Portsmouth, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Portsmouth.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portsmouth already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portsmouth breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portsmouth paves the way for another one to be saved.
