Diego is young, full of energy and loves to play. He would be fine with other dogs and kids. Having come to us as a stray, Diego would love to find a family with a yard to run and play in. He listens to basic commands and is crate trained.

Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary (SHAS) is a no-kill, 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was founded in 1996, and is the largest and longest-running no-kill facility in the Las Cruces, NM area. SHAS provides medical care, food, shelter and comfort to nearly 90 homeless cats and dogs of our community, while seeking caring homes for them.

Our Adoption Process...

SHAS carefully screens adopters. The adoption
process includes an application & interview, and may
include a vet check, landlord check &/or home visit. An adoption contract will be executed once the adoption is approved.
