8/19/11 - Mandy is a spunky little girl that likes to lay on your lap and enjoys a good belly rub. She currently has a cough that we have tried treating with antibiotics in case it was from something she picked up at the shelter, and we are currently working to determine if the cough is being caused by her grade 3/4 heart murmur. She is on a lasix trial that seems to be helping with the cough. She is going to remain on the lasix for a few more days and then we will take her off of it to see if her cough comes back, and if so, it will indicate her coughing is from her heart problems. Once we get the coughing figured out and determine she is well enough, she will go in to be spayed, have her many mammary tumors removed, and her teeth cleaned.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mandy, a Charlotte Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Charlotte, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Charlotte.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Charlotte already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Charlotte breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Charlotte paves the way for another one to be saved.
