My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This handsome boy was turned in to kill animal control shelter in GA as a stray. Another unwanted pet whose family didn't care enough to look for. Since his time was up he was scheduled to be euthanized. Luckily for him Southern Hope was able to save him right before he was scheduled to be euthanized to give him a chance in life.

Phillippe is a cute miniature Poodle. A sweet boy who gets along with everyone and everything. He enjoys company of other dogs (small and large) and he is very affectionate with people. Loves to snuggle and give kisses. Alert and curious. Wants to be involved in all activities around him. Not a barker. Rides well in cars and leash trained. Seems to be totally housetrained as well.

A highly intelligent, joyful, little companion dog. Ideal dog to take along for long car rides or to snuggle with at night. Very willing and happy to please those he considers family.

Phillippe is around 5 - 6 years old and weights 15 lbs. Full grown.

The adoption fee on Phillippe is $325. He has been neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, and microchipped. He was tested for heartworms and he is negative. He also have been professionally groomed and had dental (his teeth were professionally cleaned)

If you would like to begin the application process please fill in the form at the link above and we will forward your information to the rescue for their review. We will call your references and vet reference if applicable. If you are renting please note you must have a written letter of permission from your landlord to own a dog on their property.

The rescue will be conducting interviews for adopters at our event weekend in Killingworth, CT at the end of this month. Pre-screened adopters will be interviewed first and then walk-in applications will be reviewed. As a policy the rescues will not hold dogs for potential adopters so it is important to come to the event Saturday morning if you have your heart set on a particular dog. We will be posting more information on each dog as we get closer to the event weekend.
