Sparky's Story...
THIS DOG IS GOING TO DIE UNLESS ADOPTED SOON!!

Sparky is a pure bred 2 year old male yellow lab. Sparky's a very gentle dog a loving, kind, companion. He knows house manners, the best listener, desperately wants to live and be loved.

He appears to be housebroken, quiet and snuggly with people. If any dog deserves a second happier life, this boy does.

Sparky's is at the Whitley County Animal Shelter & Adoption Center in Indiana. He will be neutered, and brought up to date on his shots and microchipped before being adopted.

He has tested positive for heartworms. A very prevenatble and treatable disease. Please do not turn away from this beautiful boy because of this. They can be treated and he can live a normal life.

If anyone is interested in Sparky - Happy Labs will pay for the heartworm treatment. Please some one give this boy a chance at life and the love he so badly wants and needs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sparky, a Columbus Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Columbus, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Columbus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbus paves the way for another one to be saved.
