My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"Bubba" is a Jack Russell Terrier, approximately 1 year old, with very unique markings. It is obvious that Bubba has been abused and he was terrified of us when he was first dropped off here at the shelter.

However, he has really come out of his shell now and is doing better every day. He does seem to prefer women, as he appears more frightened of men. So far, Bubba shows typical terrier aggression around all other dogs.

He has been nothing but a sweetheart to us here at the shelter now that he has had time to realize we're not going to hurt him. He shows unconditional affectionate and playful behavior, loves to go on walks, and even rides well in the car. He also appears to be housetrained. He has been taken around large groups of people and still appears a little frightened and lacking in confidence, but gets better with every venture.

Bubba has had his first dewormer, but will still need his shots and to be neutered to fulfill our adoption agreement. There is no adoption fee.

This sweet little guy certainly has not seen the best life has to offer yet, but we believe he would do very well in a home where someone has the time to spend with him, building his confidence and treating him with love. We also strongly recommend a home without children or other dogs at this time.
