Lady's Story...
This little Georgia Peach is a beautiful 6+ year old black & white ShihTzu named Lady. Lady is being fostered in Indiana which must be quite a change for someone who has lived her entire life in the south. This little southern belle not only has the cold weather to deal with but the loss of an eye and being deaf too. It doesn't seem to bother her too much though unless one of the other furbaby comes from behind her and it startles her. Lady doesn't have a problem going outside and gets excited if she thinks we're going for a walk or a ride. She actually walks very nice with the other four furbabies. Lady needs her own home, which she hasn't had since her owner could no longer care for her.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lady, a Dayton Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Dayton, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Dayton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dayton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dayton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dayton paves the way for another one to be saved.
