Sofie's Story...
If you are looking for an energetic special girl to be the center of your world, please contact my foster mom Raschelle at r.perry_hahs@sbcglobal.net.

Hi, I’m Sofie and I'm a 6 month old Labrador Retriever mix girl weighing about 30 pounds. My foster parents expect me to be between 45 and 50 pounds once I am full grown. I have already been spayed and am up to date on all my vaccinations.

I get along very well with other dogs and cats, as I live with my sister Lucy, who is also up for adoption, one foster brother, two foster sisters and two foster kitties. I love to cuddle, chew on sticks and I especially love to play with my squeaky squirrel. I am 100% crate trained and about 98% house trained. I am still learning that I need to let my foster parents know when I need to go outside. They think I am very smart and say that I catch on quick, so they're not worried. I love to run and play outside and feel very safe in my foster parents fenced in yard.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sofie, a Overland Park Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
