REENIE's Story...
PLEASE READ THIS PROFILE AND THE REQUESTED CRITERIA BEFORE CALLING OR SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION. THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND CONSIDERATION

MEET REENIE....and a cuter dog, you'll never meet!! This 11.5 lb, tan with black tips, 3 yr old sweetheart really looks like a Shih Tzu to us...and her diminuative size spells Shih Tzu....but she has a flat head and almond eyes and a longish body....so we think there is some Lhasa in there too. We were not there when she was concieved, so who knows!! Whatever she is, it's cute. Reenie holds on to you for dear life when you pick her up....she clings like velcro! And...there are times when she just goes limp on the ground and wants to feel the cool grass on her tummy! Reenie has a beautiful, straight and silky coat that doesn't matt as easily as some, but she will need the typical grooming these dogs require. She does have wonderful playful energy too...but she is relatively quiet and just wants to be with you...and a canine pal, as she doesn't like being left alone and knows you can't always be there! She will go crazy when you come home and greet you with lots of love and kisses!! Reenie seems to be potty trained, but no guarantees! Kids over 8 yrs old OK. She is a great little girl and just needs a home where she will be doted on and loved to pieces. If that sounds like your home....please come and meet her! She just arrived, so she will not be available until September 11.

Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID tag!

If you are interested in adopting a pup from Lhasa Happy Homes, please complete the Adoption Application before calling. We want to give you the time you deserve, so please help us help you!! We will contact you once it has been reviewed.

First Sunday of the month, we hold our adoption events at The Healthy Spot West Hollywood (8525 Santa Moinca Blvd, West Hollywood, 90069) from 11am-3pm. Most every other Sunday, unless we are doing a special event, we are at My Pet Naturally (12001 W. Pico Blvd., West LA 90064) from 10:30a-3pm. You can see this, and many more, adorable pups at this weekly event! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!!! And don't forget to check out our Events Calendar for more information on events we may be doing! See our home page for more details about our adoptions at Lhasa Happy Homes.

Thanks for thinking rescue and adoption....and for considering saving a life. It will be the best gift you ever give yourself or your family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

REENIE, a Los Angeles Lhasa Apso/Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lhasa Apso/Shih Tzu for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Lhasa Apso/Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lhasa Apso/Shih Tzu breeders who help with Lhasa Apso/Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
