Wrinkles's Story...
Notes: Wrinkles, redbone coonhound mix, 45 pounds, approximately 5 years old
Courtesy Post! A local shelter told us about Wrinkles and we'd like to help him find a good home -- he's clearly a sweetie pie, and redbones are the best!

Wrinkles is a sweet dog who has clearly been treated kindly. He gets along well with his kennel mate and would probably make a good second dog.

Notes: This is one of the dogs that was seized when the Second Chance Rescue in Berkeley County, WV was shut down back in July. Area shelters took dogs to take the load off of Berkeley County Animal Control. Wrinkles, and four others, have been at the Jefferson County shelter waiting until the shelter had permission to release them. That time has come and Wrinkles is ready for a new home. Wrinkles is a sweet dog. He has a lot of the Redbone color with some white on his chest. Wrinkles gets along well with his kennel mate, Rascal. Wrinkles would probably do well with other dogs too. Wrinkles is neutered and was housebroken at the time of seizure. **** The Second Chance dogs are being released on a case-by-case basis and they will only be released to approved rescues or to adopters after a vet reference and home visit has been done. If you decide to take one of these dogs into rescue or adopt one of these dogs, please know that it will take a couple of weeks for paperwork to be finalized before the dog will be released from the shelter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wrinkles, a Rockville Labrador Retriever/Redbone Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Redbone Coonhound for sale in Rockville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Redbone Coonhound dog from a breeder in Rockville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rockville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rockville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Redbone Coonhound breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Redbone Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rockville paves the way for another one to be saved.
