My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rumple and his littermates were born in a field in Texas. His mother was a gorgeous purebred Great Pyrenees and they suspect his father was a Labrador Retriever. This combination of breeds is a lovely mixture, one that should make Rumple grow up to be a large and striking adult, very smart with awesome temperament. Although Labs are high energy, Rumple takes after his mother being a very laid back and chill fellow. Rumple also thinks he is a lap dog, so be prepared for a big lug who will want to spend the day lounging on your lap or sofa :0} He loves everyone he meets and greets them all with a wagging tail and kisses. For some reason, the original rescue that found Rumple was told he was blind. As soon as we got him to his BDRA foster home, a veterinary ophthalmologist (who ultimately diagnosed him with bilateral posterior cortical suture tips opacities, which are essentially white spots behind his corneas), examined him. The vet says they do not affect his vision and should not progress. He feels they may disappear as Rumple matures. Although Rumple is a big mush-mellow, due to his breed combination and potential size of 90-100 lbs, Kindergarten Puppy Training, along with more advanced, positive motivated training classes, is highly recommended to help Rumple grow up to be a well-behaved and social pooch.
