Facts about Wendy

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Brown Tabby
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: Deb
  • Hair: Short
My name is Wendy. I'm about 4.5 years old as of July 2012. I came to Catales with my large family. We were living in a place where the lady could not care for us because she was sick. I am healthy and have been waiting a very long time for a forever home. I would like a quiet home without small children and dogs with a patient, understanding person who is cat experienced. I love to be pet and love attention when I am in the mood. I do not like to be held or picked up though so it would be difficult to get me in a carrier. If you train me to go in with treats I may go in on my own. Catales does know some vets who do house visits though, so don't worry. I will take time to adjust to a new home since I have not had one in a very long time. Once I know you I will love for you to pet me, talk to me, and to love me. I do love Catales, but don't want to stay here forever. Please adopt me and give me a chance at a loving, forever home. I will be forever grateful and will love you lots in return!

Our Adoption Process...

CAT TALES, Inc. helps homeless, abandoned cats find responsible and loving permanent homes. As Cat Tales does not take owner-surrendered cats, the cats we rescue have been abandoned, neglected or abused. While we generally trap, spay/neuter and release feral cats, occasionally we rescue ferals or semi-ferals from the colonies we help feed. Almost all of these animals have survived hunger and illness before entering the safety of CAT TALES.

We are looking for very special people who truly care about these animals, not as property but as friends who will become a part of their adoptive families. Our priority is to make sure that the cats will never again need to be rescued. In order to accomplish this goal, we ask all potential parents to fill out a detailed adoption application. Adoption from CAT TALES means that you will be asked to make a tax deductible adoption donation and to pay for spay/neuter if it has not been done before you adopt. We also ask that the adopter agrees to follow-up visits from someone at CAT TALES. We want to do everything possible to make sure that the animals we place find the best possible homes and safest futures once released from our care.
