Chiquita's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Chiquita's Story...
Chiquita is proof that one little, scared dog can melt a grown man's heart. Chiquita wormed her charming way into my husband's lap in a matter of minutes. She gives sweet kisses and looks at you with so much contentment and satisfaction. Chiquita was confiscated by BARC but whatever her past entailed, she doesn't want to talk about it and is eager to forget it.

At only 8 pounds, Chiquita doesn't seem to mind the big dogs (Beef and Heinz) at her foster home. She follows me outside and seems to know how to go potty in the yard exclusively. Quiet and easy to care for, she is happy to curl up under your chair while you work. Chiquita will make someone a very happy dog owner.

Come see Chiquita and all her precious pals at Uptown Park this weekend. You'll be glad you did!

Chiquita is around 3 yrs old and about 8 lbs. She is updated on shots, spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped, and heartworm tested. The adoption fee is $100.

Meet our dogs! They will be available for adoption this weekend at Uptown Park Adoption Center:
1141-03 Uptown Park Blvd (Next to Potbelly Sandwiches), Houston, TX 77056
Saturdays 10-6pm
Sundays 11-4pm

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chiquita, a Houston Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Houston, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
