Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi - I'm Sawyer! You can tell from my happy face that I am just glad to be alive! My former owner could no longer keep me and turned me in at the pound. I was worried what might happen to me, but a nice family brought me into this rescue. I've already showered them with affection - I want them to know that I'm really grateful!
My coat is very thick and soft, and I love being petted. I'm housebroken and crate trained, walk well on a leash, and really enjoy car rides! There are children and several other dogs at this new house, and I'm having fun with all of them. The doctor thinks I'm about 2 years old, so I won't get any bigger (I weigh about 45 pounds), but have a lot of years ahead of me that I'd love to share with you! Won't you please give me a chance to be loved forever? Ask for an application at FORrescueAL@gmail.com so I can come HOME!
**from Sawyer's foster family**
Sawyer needs an adopter who is willing to provide him with assertive leadership and plenty of daily exercise. He has the most WONDERFUL temperament - gentle, friendly, and affectionate - and has had minimal formal obedience training, but learns quickly. Sawyer responds very well to correction, is quite playful, sometimes to the point of being boisterous. He loves to play with other dogs, and loves children, though his size and energy could be overwhelming to very young children.
*** Sawyer is currently in a foster home in ALABAMA - but can be brought to your area via a USDA-certified dog rescue transport. His adoption fee of $450 includes transport costs, complete health exam, Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, Bordatella, parasite testing/treatment, neuter, and microchip. All of our dogs are current on heartworm and flea prevention. Please email us at FORrescueAL@gmail.com for more information or with any questions. ***
