Trooper's Story...
I am a super sweet kid just hoping and waiting to be the boy to complete some nice family. So far in my I haven’t met a person or canine that I didn’t like. I’m a pretty go with the flow type of guy, a real Tropper. I am a scruffy fella and this coat of mine is need of a little TLC but as you can see I am still a real cutie, and a real character- just full of personality! So hurry in and say Hi, don't miss out on an opportunity to call me your own! 2 years old-16lbs. My adoption fee is $180 and includes; microchip, neuter, reduced cost training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam , leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Trooper, a Portland Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso for sale in Portland, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
