Iris's Story...
Iris came to us as a stray. She is a bit shy in new surroundings, but once she adjusts she is a playful and energetic little girl who revels in attention. She loves playing with other cats but also enjoys a good cuddle sometimes too!

To meet Iris, please visit her at our cat adoptions room at Bowdog (6909 Farrell Rd SE), which is open from 2.00 - 4.00pm every Sunday, or call (403) 671-8665 for an appointment.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Iris, a Okotoks Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Okotoks, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Okotoks.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Okotoks already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Okotoks breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Okotoks paves the way for another one to be saved.
