Mango's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Mango's Story...
This is one handsome dog, with his distinctive Shepherd ears and markings. He's a big boy, so he'll need a strong owner, but he's a smart boy too, so he'll be easy to train. At a recent dog training class, we learned that he is treat-motivated and knows "sit", "stay", and "down". Of course, tummy rubs in between lessons learned helped a bit. Mango is very affectionate and gives kisses.

Mango likes other dogs, doesn't seem much interested in cats, and prefers walks to the exercise yards.

All in all, Mango would be a great, easy-going companion for an active family. Come meet Mango at the County shelter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mango, a Santa Barbara German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Santa Barbara, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Santa Barbara.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santa Barbara already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santa Barbara breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santa Barbara paves the way for another one to be saved.
