Princess Tilly's Story...
Princess Tilly, abandoned, along with her companion, was left to fend for herself when her family moved away. Fortunately a kind neighbor created a makeshift home in her garage, providing food and water during the last year. She is a lovely cat who would like a proper home.

Princess Tilly is a grey Persian cat. Her age is guessed to be around five years old. She is quite precocious and immediately greets newcomers, cat or human, with her charming personality. One of her favorite activities is to sit in a chair or on a window sill and watch the world go by. She sits so quietly it is easy to forget she is there. She is very attentive to the goings on of the household. When she purrs, she wags her tail slightly. Her long, Persian hair and sweet disposition make her quite cuddly!

While Princess Tilly tested negative for FeLV, she is FIV positive; however, FIV is not a death sentence for cats. With an attentive owner who provides regular wellness care, an FIV+ cat can live a long, healthy life. Because FIV can pass from one cat to another via a deep penetrating bite wound from an infected cat. Tilly should not be adopted into a home with uninfected cats. The virus does not cross species, though, and cannot be transmitted to humans or dogs. With her friendly, easy-going personality, Tilly would be an ideal addition to a home that has dogs and/or children.

This lovely lady is eagerly waiting to add some class to your home—are you ready for this bundle of fluffy love?!

Princess Tilly tested negative for FeLV, is spayed, and current on all vaccines.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Princess Tilly, a Merrifield Persian cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Persian for sale in Merrifield, or seeking a Persian cat from a breeder in Merrifield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Merrifield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Merrifield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Persian breeders who help with Persian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Merrifield paves the way for another one to be saved.
