My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LOLA is a sweetheart! She is a beautiful Lab mix and is two years old and about 50 pounds

Lola's foster mom has this to say about her: "Overall Miss Lola is doing well! She is fantastic with the boys and with the cat. The boys, who are 3 and 4, believe that she is a nice addition to their toy collection. They put hats and other clothes on her and she has never shown any kind of ill-will towards them. Lola believes that the cat is a nice warm pillow although he does not agree with her and tries to hide under the coffee table when she jumps up to sit near him. She is a nice sturdy girl who believes that she is a lap dog. She will snuggle up to anyone as long as they have a comfy seat or a blanket to cuddle with.

Lola is an all star ball player and her whole face smiles while she is playing. She does love her "baby" and will toss it around by herself if she is bored. She hasn't chewed anything, to date, and would prefer following someone around all day if possible. She likes to run/ jog on the leash and as long as nothing major grabs her attention she will run right beside you, a pocket full of treats has helped a lot! She enjoys riding in the car and will jump in the passenger seat of any car with an open door. She sleeps all night in her crate but would rather sleep right beside the bed... or on it. She isn't an animal chaser, she saw a squirrel in the yard and ran the other way. I have heard her bark once and that was to come back inside when it was raining out. She likes to run and play with other dogs, even if she doesn't know them. Our dog wasn't thrilled about this idea but warmed up to her pretty quickly, he couldn't resist her charm!

She will be a loyal companion to anyone who will love her, she aims to please and the best reward for her is a snuggle.

I took Lola to a birthday party yesterday and there was another male dog there and a whole bunch of little kids... she was the star of the show!! She immediately felt at home around the kids. She wanted to play with the other dog (who had a bad attitude towards her) and didn't pay too much attention to the pet bird that they had. At first the bird scared her but when she realized that it was in a cage she really didn't care to even look at it again. She does have a small issue with jumping up to see food on a table or counter top, she will grab it if close enough to her. She also thinks that she is a lap dog and will jump up on anyone's lap- she weighs 52lbs so it can be quite a surprise!!"

Thank you for considering rescue!

**Please note: we do not have a physical location, we are supported by a network of wonderful foster homes that are spread throughout New England. A dog will need to be visited by a prospective adopter in the foster home where they are feeling safe and comfortable.**
