Tommy's Story...
Tommy was a stray out on his own at a very young age and is still learning about the indoor world
and how to properly interact with other animals. He has been a quick learner and very eager to please people. This little boy is a true treasure, he picked our porch to get out of the cold last February and won our hearts over immediately. From an unapproachable kitten to a loving boy that will sit and watch TV with you, Tommy has come a long way.

Tommy is a very active tabby boy that has a personality almost as big as his heart. He loves to play with toys and any kind of string, and will happily follow you around the house. Tommy will wear himself out playing with his toys and them climb onto your lap for a good nap. At night when you tell him it is time for bed he will get up and follow you to your room.

Tommy can get very excited when he is playing, because of this may not get along well with other less tolerant cats.He has been living with a black lab and has gone from attacking her to rubbing up against her although he is still a bit unpredictable with his behavior towards her. With people, Tommy is very gentle and easy to handle, so I think he would do well with most kids.

Tommy is looking for a home with lots of toys and people that will play with him. Tommy can get along with other cats and even a dog as long as they were patient with him. He would not mind a household where he was home alone during the day, as long as there are toys to play with. Tommy wants to find a forever home where he will never again have to worry about shelter, food or love.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tommy, a Snohomish Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Snohomish, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Snohomish.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Snohomish already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Snohomish breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Snohomish paves the way for another one to be saved.
