Curly's Story...
Est DOB 3/15/2010, DSH Gray/white neutered male with curly tail ! This little ham was the runt of all runts. All his littermates were growing & eating & growing ... but little Curly stayed tiny & had a little curly piggy tail. Then one day ... oh my gosh, he's a normal kitten and some of the curliness is gone from his tail ... but there's still enough there to make him one unique, cute, little kitten. All cats and kittens have been vet checked, tested for feline leukmia and FIV, given age appropriate vaccines, spayed/netuered and are free of internal and external parasites. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Curly, a Cocoa American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Cocoa, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Cocoa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cocoa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cocoa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cocoa paves the way for another one to be saved.
