Solie's Story...
They are heartbroken to have to give her up but feel as though they don't have any other choice. I've been sitting for Solie for 4 years and she is such a great dog! She'll be 9 years old this month, is very sweet, gets along well with other dogs and everyone else (with the exception of small children being in her face). She's a Lab/Hound mix and has the typical Hound bark.

Her house now has an invisible fence that she does great with - has never run through it. Her old house, however, she went out on a cable and never broke off of that either. She loves walks, is completely housebroken and has never once had an accident in the 4 years that I've been sitting for her.

She doesn't have any health problems and isn't on any medications. She's really low maintencence and isn't hyperactive at all. She loves to sit down and cuddle on the couch or watch TV. She can be left alone in the house and won't destroy anything. Overall, she's an excellent dog. Oh, and she gets along with cats too! She likes to chase them but has never hurt them.

Anyone who is interested can contact me, Mylyssa, at 724-423-3229 or mylyssa@petitefeetpetcare.com.

This dog is not at our shelter and the adoption of her has nothing to do with Animal Keepers Rescue. Don't call us if interested. Call the number above. We know nothing about this dog. We are posting her for a friend of the shelter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Solie, a Acme Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Acme, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Acme.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Acme already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Acme breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Acme paves the way for another one to be saved.
