Scout's Story...
I am a funny looking fellow!! I have the colors of a husky and the little short legs and body of a dashound! HEEHEE

But that is OK!! Someone will love me for what I am!!

I have had all my medical done, but AARF did find out that I have heartworms, so they are waiting for the medicine to come in, so that I can begin my treatment. But if someone would like to adopt me or foster me, AARF will write in the contract that they will cover the treatment, at their vet, when the medicine comes in!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scout, a Richmond Husky/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky/Dachshund for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Husky/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky/Dachshund breeders who help with Husky/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
