My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Honey, and I can't wait to find my Forever Home. My life up until now hasn't been so great. I spent the first five years of my life as a busy mom, having several litters of puppies. Then the people that owned me got divorced, and I moved in with another family member who financially and physically couldn't take care of me and wanted me to go to a family that could give me the love and care I deserve.

Things have definitely changed since I have been with my foster family. I have been groomed and spayed. I have also had two mammary tumors and a cyst removed, and I am now up to date on all my shots. Aside from being overweight and recovering from a mild skin condition caused by poor hygiene, I am in good health. I am on a grain-free diet, and my foster mom has a special spray she puts on me to help my skin feel better. It smells nice, too! I also gets lots of exercise now, and my foster family says they can see a change in me already. I have more pep in my step!

I definitely have a name that fits me because I am one of the sweetest gals you will ever meet. I love people of all ages, from toddlers on up. Other dogs and cats are okay, too. Â I am super tolerant, and nothing really ruffles my feathers (or rather my fur). If you pet me, I will just melt into you and give you a kiss or roll over for a belly rub. I know all my basic commands like Sit, Stay, Down, Off, No, and Shake. I am good on a leash, and I will stay close off leash. If I wander off a bit, I come right back as soon as you call. I like to ride in the car, and I am also housetrained. I don't get on funiture unless I'm invited, but I do like to sleep in bed with my family.

Overall, I think I am a great gal with lots to offer. Ideally I would like a family that is willing to keep me moving and eating right so that I can get down to my ideal weight. That way I will be able to have a long, happy, and healthy life with them.

Love,
Honey
