Blondie & Cassidy's Story...
Blondie is the light colored tan rabbit. She is kind of on the shy side. Very sweet and pretty girl. Sometimes she likes to hide if she has a place too do so. She has become bonded with Cassidy. He is pictured with her and is the darker rabbit. Cassidy is the brown rabbit in the pictures hanging out with Blondie. He is also a nice rabbit. This boy has front legs that are just a bit short. He enjoys his time spent with Blondie. These two bunnies are loving rabbits to each other and would make a great addition to any family or someone looking for a bonded pair. Blondie and Cassidy will be adopted together since they are a bonded pair of rabbits. If you are thinking of adopting a rabbit, why not think of adopting two?

Update: Our handsome and loving Cassidy recently had to have one of his hind leg amputated. He is doing just fine and has adjusted really well to life with three legs. Cassidy is one of the sweetest and friendliest buns you will ever meet as is his girl Blondie.

About Our Rescue Group...
We are a nonprofit organization accepting into its protection any rabbit that has been mistreated or abandoned. The organization does not deny shelter because of disability or illness. All rabbits, after being nursed into optimum health by knowledgeable volunteers and—when necessary—local vets, are spayed and neutered before being placed up for adoption. GRR volunteers screen all adopting families to insure these rabbits will be placed in a secure and loving home.
Gainesville Rabbit Rescue, Inc. is not a shelter; it is solely reliant upon the efforts of its volunteers. The rabbits do not live in kennels, but in the loving homes of foster families who see to it that the rabbits are litter box trained, fed and well cared for, with expenses coming more often than not from their own pockets.
Domestic rabbits are less able to save themselves than other companion animals. Classified as both pets and livestock, they are farmed, experimented on, eaten, worn, made into lucky charms; and some are kept as companions. Unfortunately, like other companion animals, they are also discarded by irresponsible owners. Thousands of rabbits are euthanized at animal shelters each year.
