My expression in my photo is my surpise at being called a girly-girl! I am 100% Tom Boy and loves to play with the boys....girls so are NOT my cup of tea! Don't let my confidence fool you, I can be won over with treats and some smooshing snuggles. I love lounging in the sun and love the outside. Would love life with an active man who loves to cut wood and hang out in the great outdoors by day and snuggle on the couch by night and during the really cold weather. I am very athletic and would love lots of long hikes. Got a fenced yard?? All the better- I love playing coy and keep away if you want me to come in before I WANT to.

Prior to adoption each dog is spayed or neutered, tested for heartworm (if appropriate), started on a heartworm preventative, tested for Ehrlichia and Lymes disease (both are carried by ticks), examined for external parasites and treated with a monthly preventative, vaccinated for DHLP, Bordatella, and rabies (unless the puppy is too young), dewormed, microchipped, and receives 30 of free ShelterCare Health Insurance. Her adoption fee is $99.00 plus tax.

About Humane Society of Waupaca County

About Our Shelter...

We are working hard to end pet overpopulation by setting an example for our community! All dogs, cats and rabbits are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, and we have begun a spay/neuter program "No More Litters" for the pets belonging to low income families. We work very hard to get our adoptable animals into good homes as quickly as possible.

Our Adoption Center is a place of hope. Please come an visit us, you will see why! All animals are very well-cared for until we can place them into new, loving homes. You will find us located behind the Waupaca Airport, just off of HWY 10, east of Waupaca. We are open Monday and Thursday from 12 -
3 pm, Wed and Friday from 2 - 7 pm, Saturday from 12 - 5 pm and Sunday from 11 am - 1 pm. We are closed on Tuesdays. We are also available by appointment.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption fees vary, according to species, size, age and other issues. Discounts apply in some cases. We consider these to be good values after you take into consideration how much veterinary care goes into each animal before placement. Every dog, cat and rabbit is spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Our dogs are also heartworm tested if appropriate and started on heartworm preventative, tested for Ehrlichia & Lymes Disease, examined for fleas & treated with a monthly preventative, vaccinated for Bordatella, rabies (unless too young), and DHLP, dewormed, microchipped and receive 30 days of free veterinary insurance. All animals come with an adoption packet which includes their health record.

We do require that you fill out an application, and wait patiently for at least 24 hours while our committee goes over it. In almost all cases, you'll be required to come visit the animal. We will do out of town adoptions, but you must comply with the above conditions. In some cases, applications may be pre-approved via email, fax or mail, so that you may pick up your new pet in one visit.
