Meet Tucker! Tucker's family unfortunately no longer has time for him and we would love to find him a new home with lots of love to give this great guy.

Tucker loves toys (especially squeaky ones & tug of war ropes) but usually rips them apart if left alone with them. Toys trump food - and he is not food aggressive. He is very affectionate with his owners and has no problem being handled & likes being groomed (except having nails trimmed).

Tucker is good with cats once properly introduced as a member of the family (he is afraid of his family's cat, who has established dominance over Tucker). He is comfortable with other dogs after proper introduction. He would do well in a home with an Alpha dog that can help set boundaries & give cues.

Tucker has difficulty jumping, getting into car, etc. due to hip surgeries. He needs running start. On the positive side, he won’t jump a fence!

Tucker is very sensitive & smart. He is afraid of the vacuum cleaner. He sometimes is protective of household; and is territorial by nature.

Tucker's fave snacks are peanut butter & cottage cheese. He also is a fan of Dairy Queen soft serve ice cream (doggie dish with bone on top).

Tucker is crate trained, and goes to crate for comfort & will sleep there at night (when not on his family's daughter’s bed). He loves walks but could use better training to heel. He is excellent with sit,stay & down commands unless he gets distracted (by another dog, person etc.). Tucker loves car rides -great passenger!
