Hobbes's Story...
Homer and Hobbes are brothers, 8 years old, with blonde hair, and are real sweethearts. Their mom was Himalayan and dad was a tom cat. Neither of the boys have health problems but Homer is on a Rx diet following a surgery (bladder/reproductive) for urinary crystals about three years ago (he has been fine ever since). About $350 of prescription food will go with them, along w litter box, crate, toys, etc. All med records will of course go with them, they are neutered and up to date on their vaccinations. They are litterbox trained and have never had an accident. My email is: if anyone has any questions.

Homer is looking for a home, but is not being adopted through the MCSPCA. He is listed here as a courtesy to the person who is trying to find him a good home. Please check the information above for contact information regarding adopting.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hobbes, a Gaithersburg Himalayan cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Himalayan for sale in Gaithersburg, or seeking a Himalayan cat from a breeder in Gaithersburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gaithersburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gaithersburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Himalayan breeders who help with Himalayan rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gaithersburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
