I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Feather's Story...
Tooo cute! Feather was born in late May 2011 and weighed about 6lbs. on Sept. 12. Her foster mom says, "Feather is the smallest of the litter (Feather, Pooh Bear, Tigger and Zoey), but don't let her size fool you; she is a spunky little thing. She can hold her own against all siblings at the same time when they're wrestling. It's funny to see the smallest puppy put the bigger pups on the run. :) She loves to be held and cuddled and is very affectionate. She gets along well with other dogs, but doesn't like to share toys. One of the most endearing features about her, is that when she gets really excited she 'chirps' like a bird instead of barking. Her name really does fit her." Photo 3 shows the marking that resulted in her name.

Feather is crate trained, with housetraining in progress. She must be an inside pet, of course, with adequate arrangements for her exercise and safety when outside.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Feather, a Tahlequah Pekingese puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pekingese for sale in Tahlequah, or seeking a Pekingese puppy from a breeder in Tahlequah.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tahlequah already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tahlequah breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pekingese breeders who help with Pekingese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tahlequah paves the way for another one to be saved.
