Sable's Story...
SABLE IS IN A HIGH KILL SHELTER AND CAN BE EUTHANIZED ANY TIME. PLEASE CONTACT US ASAP IF INTERESTED IN ADOPTING THIS LOVELY DOG.

Sable is a 9-year old Shepherd mix, who's owner has been hospitalized and there was no one left at home to take care of Sabe. She's an absolutely lovely dog: gentle, low key, easy to walk, housebroken, and easy around other dogs. She literally cries for her owner who, unfortunately, is not able to get her back. Sable is a real sweetheart who breaks our hearts. We want her to find a loving home for the rest of her life. This lovely senior citizen deserves no less.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sable, a New York German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in New York, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
