My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"Tara" is a beautiful 2½-yr old spayed female GSD with a wonderful temperament. Tara is one of those dogs that right off the bat you can tell gets along with everyone and every dog. She even gets along with cats! She's also good with young kids--no surprise here. Tara is a medium-sized GSD, and weighs about 55
lbs.

Tara is completely housetrained, though her former caretaker Jessica kept her outside because Jessica's cats (both old and crotchety) didn't want to have anything to do w/ Tara's playful advances. She walks well on leash once her initial excitement settles down. Tara still has puppy-like energy and has not received much training, so she will jump up on people in her exuberance. She does obey the command "sit", though!

Jessica rescued Tara at the last minute from her neighbor, who was planning to take Tara to a shelter when his rental house was foreclosed. The neighbor kept Tara outside exclusively, but obviously treated her well because she shows no signs of abuse. Jessica had Tara for about four months before surrendering her to GSRSV on 9-19-11 due to her own house foreclosing and the issue with her cats.

A woman in Davis began to foster Tara for GSRSV on 9-20, and she's doing great there. Tara's adoption fee is $250.
