Lady's Story...
This little lady is sad, and no wonder. Lady is a small sweet Labrador
Retriever mix, about 2 1/2 years old, who has lost her home. It is
especially difficult for her because she is so affectionate and needs to
belong to a family who would love her and could receive her own boundless
love. She is very easy to handle on a leash and can sit when told -- the
first big step in obedience training. She might know other commands but
has nobody to ask her. She has been spayed already and could go home with
you immediately. So, if you have a small space in your home and a big
place in your heart, then please adopt Lady.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lady, a New York Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in New York, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
