Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ella is a very special girl! We rescued her from the Ft. McDowell Indian Reservation just a few days before she gave birth to 7 beautiful puppies. Ella was the kindest mama dog I have seen. When the puppies were old enough to eat some solid foods, she would let them eat right out of her own bowl. Most mama dogs chase the puppies away. Not only that, just as her puppies were weaned, we rescued a littered of orphaned puppies. Ella immediately took over the role as their surrogate mother, feeding and cleaning them. She really is an amazingly sweet dog! She is also very well behaved! She has NEVER had an accident in the house! She has been gentle with our two toddlers and great with all the other dogs. She is very shy and timid around strangers and in new situations. She can be a little fearful on walks, so I think she would do best in a home with a yard where she can go out and exercise in comfort. If you give her a chance, she will snuggle with you and love you forever!
Ella is less than 2 years old and about 40 lbs. Ella's adoption fee is $150 and that includes spay, microchip, rabies and DAPP vaccinations. For more information or to request an adoption application, please contact Delon.Washo@asu.edu or 602-295-4518.
