Dexter's Story...
Hi, my name is Dexter. I was found on the mean streets of Detroit at 6 months of age. I'm tough because I had a terrible burn on my tail, a cracked canine tooth, and not much food in my belly. But I'm all better now and raring to go. I'm about 1 now, I'm neutered, up to date on a vaccines and looking for a cool place to hang. I am gray and white with short, soft fur. I love to play and stalk the birds outside the window. I'm cool with dogs but other cats might crimp my style. People are da bomb with me. I'm a wild child at heart and would love to be your homeboy for life. Please take a moment to check me out and it'll be worth the time because I'm cool like that. Peace out.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dexter, a Rochester Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Rochester, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Rochester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rochester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rochester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rochester paves the way for another one to be saved.
