My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Camper is an awesome 3-4 year old cuddly, sweet and well-behaved Labassador boy. That is the new designer breed – Labrador and Basset. Camper was being taken to the euthanasia room when a last minute call came in and he got a reprieve. Camper was to be put down because the shelter was full and he had a lot of skin issues which was caused by fleas. Camper is in a wonderful foster home now and doing great. His skin issues are all cleared up and he is living the good life. Camper is wonderful with his foster family’s children (ages 4-14), and he loves hanging out with the other dogs in the home. Camper also lives with a pigeon, a rabbit, and a cat. Words from his foster mom: “He can make you laugh, even after the worst day ever, or he’ll come sit by you just to keep you company. Camper loves socializing and would be a great traveling, hiking, and lounging buddy. When it comes to toys, Camper is like a puppy. We think Camper didn’t get much of a childhood, and he gets excited about toys like a puppy (Camper prefers stuffed toys with squeakers). Camper does prefer to cuddle up with the family at night, but he is crate trained and house trained as well.” Camper’s foster family thinks he is a great boy and will make a wonderful companion for any family.
Camper has been neutered, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. He has been kept on flea preventative and heartworm preventative. Camper is such a great boy and would do well in obedience classes and he is eager to please his people. If you would be interested in hearing more about this guy please fill out an online application and indicate Camper.
