Here is what Charlie’s foster family had to say about her:
Charlie is fine around any pets we have met. She is still abit wary of horses but will walk beside them now. She has even got our JRT (who hates all dogs) to play with her and it must be at least a year since I’ve seen that happen. She sees cats at the barn and just walks by them without a second look. She LOVES the dog park.
Charlie is house trained except at night, you have to make sure she goes pee before going to bed. She is crate trained and we still put her in the crate when we are not home for approximately 6 – 7 hours each day. She doesn’t go to the bathroom when she is on walks, only off leash. She has a beautiful soft coat. She knows sit, beg and off. Stay and down are a work in progress. She is Fabulous in the car. She gets in the back seat and either sits still or lays down and you never hear a peep from her. She was afraid of the car at first, but now jumps in by herself.
She is leash trained but does pull quite abit so we find it easier with a harness on her. We walk all three together and she constantly bumps the Jack Russell out of the way all the time. Can’t believe that he puts up with it! Maybe he likes bossy women! She does not jump up on counters and as a rule does not try to steal food. She is a bit of a chewer so we have lots of toys for her, which helps. She will steal shoes though.
She is a fabulous little dog. If I didn’t have 2 dogs already, I would consider keeping her. I don’t think it would matter to her if she was the only pet or not in a home as long as she got to run and socialize at the dog park. She Loves kids and doesn’t jump up. We are really going to miss her but hope she gets a great home.
