Spooky's Story...
Hi I'm called Spooky. My owner passed away and his family could not keep my sister Midnight and I. Where I am now, I'm called the "Gentle Giant". I am still shy with people I don't know, and I will hide until I get to know you. Once I feel safe, l love to be patted and just hang out with you. I'm a big declawed boy, and all black, I look like a panther. I am no trouble at all to live with, enjoy the company of other cats, and I'm very quiet. Anyone out there interested in giving me a second chance? To adopt from Angelcat Haven, we require an approved application. Please visit www.angelcathaven.com to find the adoption application. Applications can be FAXed to 508-643-1999 or emailed to cats@angelcathave.com or kittens@angelcathaven.com

About Our Rescue Group...
Angelcat Haven is an all volunteer foster based non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing homeless and stray cats in Plainville and the surrounding towns. Cats that are in need of a HAVEN while waiting for their loving new homes.
This organization was formed to save a 4 month old stray kitten named Maddie, who was turned away from another shelter. With a wound of an unknown origin, (requiring a 6 month quarantine) and a broken leg. We fought for 5 days to save her and could not. Some stories do not have happy endings.
Although she was small, she had a huge impact on our lives- she is our Angelcat. Our mission is to help the cats who fall through the cracks when existing shelters don't have room.
We strive to reduce overpopulation through education, bu promoting reduced cost spay-neuter programs, and instituting community trap and rescue programs.
Every effort is made to work with and socialize the stray, abandoned and feral cats we rescue so that they can live out their lives in a warm, loving home.
Formed in November 2006, ACH is an all volunteer staffed rescue needing assistance in all areas.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Spooky, a Plainville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Plainville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Plainville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Plainville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Plainville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Plainville paves the way for another one to be saved.
