Ryder's Story...
Meet Ryder, a Smooth Coat Collie mix who was born around Nov 1, 2006. He and his brother Reece were found running around in Ottawa. Ryder loves to play and wrestle with his foster buddies at his foster home. He did great at his first adoption, playing with all the dogs and puppies that came into Petco last Saturday. Ryder also is a lap dog, he loves to snuggle up in your lap and go to sleep. He just figured out the doggie door on his first day and in enjoying going in and out. Ryder is crate trained and working well towards being housebroken very soon. He will be neutered and up to date on his vaccines before going to his new home. Ryder weighed in at 19.4 lbs on 1/21/07.

Adoptions are held at PETCO at 135th & Blackbob in Olathe, Kansas and Petsmart at 115th and Metcalf in Overland Park, Kansas. Please check to see which adoption Ryder will be at on Saturdays. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ryder, a Overland Park Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Collie puppy from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie breeders who help with Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
