found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Finch is a sweet lug of a dog who we spotted at Chicago Animal Care and Control. Due to overcrowding in the shelter, Finch was slated to be euthanized that day. When we first saw him, he was scared of us and wouldn't come to the front of the cage, but with careful wheedling and lots of happy talk, he slowly edged forward, then gave a little hand lick and a careful look, then came on out! Once we saw what a happy normal dog he was outside of the cage, there was no way we could leave him there. Finch was free!
Finch and his brother Dakota were owner give-ups through no fault of their own. It's hard to believe anyone would want to give up these sweet, sweet boys. While searching for new dogs in the rescue pavilion, Finch was one of the first dogs. Dakota was one of the last dogs we met. We had no idea that they were even related until the next day, when we noticed that their original addresses in their ACC paperwork matched! We were so thrilled to have discovered that their journey came full circle and the two boys were back together. It was a bittersweet and touching moment for us all!
As we learn more about Finch, we will update his bio. Due to his shy nature, he'd probably do best with older kids, and he passed his cat test just fine. If you would like to meet or adopt Finch, please contact NLOL Chicago.
