Shirley's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, not good with kids, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Shirley's Story...
At last, my love has come along, my lonely days are over, and life is like a song. I have always wanted people to love, but like so many things in this world it hasn’t always worked out. My experiences living with other animals haven’t always been pleasant, but I adore quiet human companions.  I have so much love to give and want to share my life with someone who will love me as well. I am just a young lady, but my legs are not what they used to be. With my new unique swagger, I am afraid I won’t find anyone.  It’s something we all go through, but perhaps you and me are made for each other? If you feel the way I do, my name is Shirley and my number is 773.203.0215.  Even if you don’t call, just know that there is a sweet girl out there who could love you.

Shirley's purr would do the divine Etta James justice. This affectionate, good-natured cat is looking for a less active home with younger to mature adults where she will be the sole animal companion. If you and Miss Peaches are a match, please contact Cindy at 773.203.0215 or

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shirley, a Chicago Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
