Here's what the humans have to say about me:
At last, my love has come along, my lonely days are over, and life is like a song. I have always wanted people to love, but like so many things in this world it hasn’t always worked out. My experiences living with other animals haven’t always been pleasant, but I adore quiet human companions. I have so much love to give and want to share my life with someone who will love me as well. I am just a young lady, but my legs are not what they used to be. With my new unique swagger, I am afraid I won’t find anyone. It’s something we all go through, but perhaps you and me are made for each other? If you feel the way I do, my name is Shirley and my number is 773.203.0215. Even if you don’t call, just know that there is a sweet girl out there who could love you.
Shirley's purr would do the divine Etta James justice. This affectionate, good-natured cat is looking for a less active home with younger to mature adults where she will be the sole animal companion. If you and Miss Peaches are a match, please contact Cindy at 773.203.0215 or cindy@virtuallyhomechicago.org.
Did you know black cats and dogs are the last to be adopted? We don't know why, but it's true! Please join us each year on the last Saturday in February for Sexy Black, our awareness raising event to highlight the extra challenges facing black cats and dogs.
