Crocket's Story...
This is Crockett, he is about two years old and he is a Basenji mix. He is such a great dog and he is a love bug! Crocket is housebroken and he has had good house manners here with us. He gets along great with dogs, including all of my huge dogs and the other foster dogs. Crockett likes playing with my St. Bernard the best and he loves laying in your lap and snuggles in bed! Crockett is around 15 to 20 pounds and is ready for his new home! I know whoever adopts him will fall in love with him as quickly as we have. He is up to date on all of his shots and he is neutered!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Crocket, a Foster Basenji dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basenji for sale in Foster, or seeking a Basenji dog from a breeder in Foster.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Foster already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Foster breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basenji breeders who help with Basenji rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Foster paves the way for another one to be saved.
