Boots's Info...

I am already neutered, a special needs pet, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Boots's Story...
Boots is every bit as sweet as his brother, Teddy. His foster mom says he is incredibly smart and picks up new commands very quickly. He is very obedient and well-mannered for a young dog his age. He is friendly and affectionate and easygoing... loves to just hangout in the yard though he does loves to play with his brother too. He would be well-suited for a home with another dog or children but his foster mom is recommending no cats for Boots. Note: Boots does have special medical needs. He is going to need orthopedic surgery on one of his hips. He sustained an injury at a very early (quite possibly at birth) that fractured the head of the femur... The vet is recommending that the head of his femur be removed and predicts a good recovery.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Boots, a Berkeley Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Rhodesian Ridgeback for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Rhodesian Ridgeback breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Rhodesian Ridgeback rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
